In the context of the song, "another soldier" is the same as "another Joe"
[Intro]
[Verse 1]
I wouldn't change a thing
Nothing good, none of the bad
It was great while it lasted
The best time I ever had
[Verse 2]
But all good things, as they say
They don't last forever, they fade
Shared lives and moments together
Leave behind memories made
[Chorus]
You'll forget all about me
Move on, the world will be
Our time will get colder
You'll find another soldier
[verse 3]
I'd have no regrets
Not one at the time
I needed love, you gave yourself to me
Not everything, but just enough
[Chorus]
You'll forget all about me
Move on, the world will be
Our time will get colder
You'll find another soldier
[Guitar Solo]
[Bridge]
Love's got us through that time
Gave all she got, mine
Purple love was decades gone
What we hold is all we own
[Chorus]
You'll forget all about me
Move on, the world will be
Our time will get colder
You'll find another soldier
[Outro]
I'll be gone very soon
Looking over my shoulder
Thanks for all you gave me
Hope you find that soldier
Well thats how it works , love moves on . sounds good Sid

Thanks a lot Chris, really appreciate your comments. I wish I had your musical ears to hear the nuances of the music like musicians do, I either like it or I don't. I do like the Hammond organ though, I'd love to write something which showcased the instrument. What do you think would be a good genre to get the best out of it.
Sid
Well, I'm a bit biased when it comes to the Hammond organ because of the bands I grew up listening to way back. So I like to hear it in rock music, but I'm well aware of it's use in Jazz (you might come up with something nice there) and, of course, gospel music. I think what you've come up with here is a great example.

This one's great Sid. A slow modern blues format. I'd love to get that sound out of my guitar - let alone the notes! The hammond sound running throughout is a nice touch too. I'd love to hear a live band do this one. You'd need some seriously good players though. One of your best.

Good song here Sid
Little love song somewhat.
I like it, you did a good job.
Tex
[Thanks Tex, like you I have a thing for sad love songs]
