I'm hoping we all have a story about someone who touched our lives but will never know they did it.

Do the people who crossed your path in childhood know how much what they did meant to you and you still talk about them and remember to this day? Long after they are gone.  Would you like to tell them if you could how much their time meant to you?

The old men who used to make us popcorn and let us eat berries off their bush. Musty dark smelly old men who were so kind to us.
The lady across the street who had a lilac bush, let us pick some, had a green apple tree and she said we could have anything that fell on the ground so my brother would climb the tree and shake it!  She taught us how to play dominos and hide the thimble.
Something someone said to you that you never forgot even 40 years later, do they know that you remember?
And have you said something to someone in passing that changed them or stayed with them as a happy memory and maybe they tell a story about you and you have know idea that they do?
I know there’s a song there.

Yeah, I'm kinda of a stickler for the story, since I'm a  Nashville writer.  But I still wanna know the real story to see if the lyric matches it.

The easiest songs to write are the truth.  And this literally was my life. My CRV did break down, we really did have 3 lawnmowers and only one of them ran, someone gave us a grill we would be charcoal on it............haha Oh yeah, the hot tub was true, too, until I made my husband get rid of the dang thing.

The truth is always easy to write about.  And you really do have to "chose" to be happy.  That's what I believe anyway. (smile)

Love the voice and melody that suno came up with (can you share the prompt?)

But as far as the lyric goes, what exactly happened?  What is the story?

Are you sure this is a lyric and not a poem?  I'm just asking because songs usually have a chorus (?)

Wow, you really dug deep on this one!   I know I posted it a few days ago, so that's a good job.

Myself and another writer were actually working on this song for the past week and it's almost done, but I wanted to get other people's input, so thank you for that!

I'll post our lyric later today and see what you think!

Welcome to the forum!!

Yup, it's very personal, it's about my childhood.. ( of which I don't remember much of , thank God) but I've heard enough stories to know it wasn't good.............................

I"m very grateful not to remember, but that doesn't mean it hasn't affected me my whole life.

Thanks. now you know why my dad called me his 4th daughter :)
I'm an artist, I see the emotion in the words not the intent. Glad you liked it and not liked  :)
Those were done when you posted them on the other site, so I only had those lyrics :)
Do you mind if I made one of mine public? they are private right now.

Lita Ford esq :)

Those are both beautiful, but damn..... I'm not trying to get someone to cry in their beer... lol.. That's why I was trying to make it "defiant" sounding. Like... yup......... it's a good thing I don't remember... (or a few ppl might be under the ground right now)... Don't wanna say that in a song , now do we?? LOL

I seriously am extremely grateful.
