She Just Is

Well, she comes to me across a cryptic, ancient stream
And we sail the night on currents of transcendent dreams

She is both a simple and a modern girl
And she’s blessed with dimples and long, auburn curls
When my heart is lonely in its rhyme
She heals me with a kiss
She doesn’t even know she’s magical
She just is

When a bluebird morning only makes me feel forlorn
She’ll caress my sorrow until I’m reborn

She is both a simple and a modern girl
And she’s blessed with dimples and long, auburn curls
When my heart is lonely in its rhyme
She heals me with a kiss
She doesn’t even know she’s beautiful
She just is

She’s beyond the measure
Of all the worlds I’ve wandered
She’s a richer treasure
Than all the pearls I’ve squandered

She’s beyond the measure
Of all the worlds I’ve wandered
She’s a richer treasure
Than all the pearls I’ve squandered

She is both a simple and a modern girl
And she’s blessed with dimples and long, auburn curls
When my heart is lonely in its rhyme
She heals me with a kiss
She doesn’t even know she’s heavenly
She just is

O She doesn’t even know she’s magical
She just is
She just is…

Thanks for checking this out. The lyric you pointed out was a last minute rewrite. Glad I trusted my instinct on that one.

MP3 songs for Review/Critique / Re: Ocean Breeze (co write?)
« Last post by LAWHON on Today at 07:40:20 am »
My Pleasure Stone,

I can't take credit for much. SUNO appears to have kept the chord pattern from my noodling, and also loosely echoed a couple of my riffs.

Beyond that, it just did it's thing. The soft jazz version is really growing on me. It's as if the demo had "Sade" for a vocalist.

Your lyrics conveyed a relaxed state of enjoyment and were very compelling in spots.

Aww the city favors a different mind
Someone who can stand the sight
Of a forest of concrete and hard lights
And the stormy sea of humanity

The cradle of life stretches to the horizon
(love that line)
I found my way here to find some
Peace belonging and ease
And give in to the calling of the ocean’s breeze

Lovely writing,
Thanks for including me.
Lawhon

Also, WITH YOUR PERMISSION
I originally had in mind for this to be love song, in which someone compared their love interest to an ocean breeze. I still might take a shot at that. Do you mind if I use some of your lines? It would be a co-write.

OCEAN BREEZE (Soft jazz version)

Damn Lawhon, thank you for melting my ears with those sweet beautiful renditions.  I'm flattered and touched that you used my lyrics.  Not sure which one I like better they're both so moving.  Interesting that neither has traditional patterns that include formal chorus, bridge, break etc.  Yet, the poetry and music just work.  Reg my name, well...my ex-wife is looking for me says I owe her $$ if she found out I was a songwriter the lawyer's would be sending letters.  So, let's just keep it in my pen name.  I've got to be gone for a couple of days so may not be back on line till Wednesday.

Thank you again.  Now...let me listen to those again, and again. Reallllly beautiful!

OCEAN BREEZE (Soft jazz version)

https://soundclick.com/song/15278530

Lyrics by Stone Flowers aka ?
Origination riffs by Lawhon
Production by SUNO

Stone,
Your lyrics came to life with music behind them.
IMO, they are very very good and put a listener on the beach.
That line "cradle of life stretches to the horizon" is extraordinary IMO.
I'm not sure what I did on this. I fed your lyrics, along with my riffs into SUNO and simply prompted SUNO that this was soft jazz...and to assess all uploaded info and do it's thing.

Please give me your name as you would like to be credited on Soundclick and here.

I did a 2nd upload in which I did not assign a style. I simply told Suno to read the lyrics and do it's thing. I thought that version sold the mood of your lyrics better than the jazz version. Here is the link to that version.

If I shouted please take me down to the sea
Would the wind hear me
And float me along to the beach

If the clouds drifted in
Would I be able to fly in my mind
And walk with deep sandy feet
drinking in the ocean’s breeze

Aww the city favors a different mind
Someone who can stand the sight
Of a forest of concrete and hard lights
And the stormy sea of humanity

But I long for the shore
Yeah I’ll find myself there on my knees
Watching the white caps blowing foam
Yeah I know what I need
A cool salty ocean breeze

The cradle of life stretches to the horizon
I found my way here to find some
Peace belonging and ease
And give in to the calling of the ocean’s breeze

Ah if the wind could pick me up
And float me to the sea
If only in my mind
I’ll surrender to the ocean’s breeze

MP3 songs for Review/Critique / Happy first day of summer ya'll

Song Of A Long Hot Summer
Just me and a guitar on one of my originals, no AI

https://youtu.be/CwBZYQ_USYg?si=2qsQ8O9_IaJ1OKGw

The morning air rising off the street
You know it’s gona get much hotter
For a long while
Everybody’s  wearing summer smiles   woh woh woh

Song on the beach takes me back
Harmonies drifting through the heat
I scream in the hot sand
burning my feet hey pass me a cold drink

They’re singing bout me and you
They’ll be playing it a whole lot longer
In this kind of weather
A song of a long hot summer

Shuffle down the crowded streets of this beach town
A long stare  at the ocean’s horizon
Stop at the hot dog stand
Some fries to go   and hold the sand

One more thing to make the day’s complete
Now that the sun won’t last much longer
There’s a bar called the beachcomber
up on the cliff
Let’s  wash the salt water off of our lips

They’re singing bout the sun’s return
We’ll be humming it a whole lot longer
in this kind of weather
A song of a long hot summer

They’re singing bout brown eyed girls
They’re singing bout love in the sun
They’re singing bout too much fun
In this kind of weather
A song of a long long hot summer

MP3 songs for Review/Critique / I Miss Me
« Last post by Rob B. on June 20, 2026, 11:10:45 am »
"I Miss Me" is about a man who watches himself slowly disappear behind denial, anger, and emotional numbness, and longs to become the person he used to be before he got lost inside himself.

My wife listened to this one and spontaneously said that this song sounds like an ESC song. Many of my American friends won’t know what she’s talking about. That’s ok. It’s a positive comment.

I MISS ME
https://soundclick.com/song/15277133

[Instrumental Intro]

[Verse]
I tell them I’m just tired, nothing really serious
Just work and life and stress, nothing mysterious
But I feel myself slipping in ways I can’t explain
Like I’m standing in the sunshine, still feeling rain

[Verse]
I show up when I have to, I do what I can
Play the part of a father, the part of a man
But inside there’s a silence I don’t know how to name
And I keep acting normal like it all feels the same

[Pre-chorus]
They say “you don’t look like you’re okay”
I laugh it off and turn away
They reach for me, I pull back slow
I don’t let anyone really know

[Chorus]
I miss me
The way I used to be
Before I got lost
Inside of me
I’m still here
But I can’t break free
I miss me
I miss me

[Break]

[Verse]
I get angry too quickly, then I shut it down
Walk like a stranger in my own hometown
And the people that love me, I can see in their eyes
They’re reaching for someone I keep saying is fine

[Pre-chorus]
They say “just talk, we’re here for you”
But I change the subject like I always do
The door is open, I see the way
But I don’t step through, I walk away

[Chorus]
I miss me
The way I used to be
Before I got lost
Inside of me
I’m still here
But I can’t break free
I miss me
I miss me

[Bridge]
If I could meet him face to face
I don’t know what I would say
Would I ask him to come back home
Or say I pushed him away

[Interlude]

[Final chorus]
I miss me
The way I used to be
Before I got lost
Inside of me
If I reach out
Don’t let me leave
I miss me
I miss me

[Outro]
Don’t let me leave
I miss me
I miss me

This is my favorite passage.

AND I’M HEADIN’ DOWN THE COAST WITH A HEAVY LOAD

. . . When the coast is clear I might just call you up, if I ever get the nerve . . .

How it blends down the coast,............. when the coast is clear.

Would love to play with this in Suno, but only with your permission.

Love the guitars.

Regarding Suno . . . respectfully, NO YOU MAY NOT !
