This is a lyric I wrote several weeks ago I had been working on.  The music genre is something called 'Trip Hop'. Music is Suno AI. The lyric is all me.  Constructive comments, thoughts and impressions are all welcome.

The Visitor

(Verse 1)
Tired of the rat race to get to the top
And if I could clean the mess up, I’d go non-stop
Everybody’s stressed in their own way
Forcing me to step back from the fray
Sometimes I think it’s just me alone
‘Cause the world has hardened into this stone
(Pre-Chorus)
Born on this lonely planet
Taking human form
Feeling galaxies away
From the mortal storm
Ever have thoughts much like this?
Feeling like an alien with something amiss

(Chorus)
Are you a visitor?
Watching from afar
A spectator of sorts
An invisible star
Are you a visitor
Remotely moved
Studying the world
From a place removed

(Verse 2)
A tribal mindset consumes everyone
Conflict is a chain reaction, weighing a ton
People are angry, but few speak out
Violence on the rise, makes me doubt
Just how advanced we are in this realm
When to me what I see can overwhelm

(Pre-Chorus)
Born on this lonely planet
Taking human form
Feeling galaxies away
From the mortal storm
Ever have thoughts much like this?
Feeling like an alien with something amiss

(Chorus)
Are you a visitor?
Watching from afar
A spectator of sorts
An invisible star
Are you a visitor
Remotely moved
Studying the world
From a place removed

(Bridge)
There’s a beauty not knowing
What we’re all about
As a tenant in this universe
With so many routes
A visitor here, a visitor there
A visitor observing from out of nowhere

(Chorus)
Are you a visitor?
Watching from afar
A spectator of sorts
An invisible star
Are you a visitor
Remotely moved
Studying the world
From a place removed

Sounds like a song about UFO's... is that right?

The words are pretty kewl, I might have done something more upbeat musically just because it's a fun topic.

Did you try any other beats?
When you row someone else across the river, you get there yourself

I'm trying to work who this reminds me of. No matter, it sounds great. Aliens? Not sure about this, but I enjoyed this. Suno does a good job of capturing the mood. no crits from me, :)

Hi Pistol... I love the laidback groove. The lyric is something to get into, as well.
Good stuff, man. A nice and fitting production.

Thanks for commenting! 😄 I can definitely see how the “visitor / alien” imagery could come across that way on the surface. My intent was actually more metaphorical — feeling detached from the world socially and emotionally, almost like observing humanity from the outside looking in.

As for the music, interestingly enough I did experiment with a more upbeat/rhythmic version too. It probably works better from an accessibility standpoint, but I found myself more drawn to the trip-hop atmosphere because it felt more distinctive and fit the mood of the lyric better. Still exploring both directions though.

:D Yeah, facebook would certainly scare em' all off for sure.  Your comment reminded me of an alien themed lyric I wrote that basically carries the same sentiment.  It's called,  "Would You Land?"  :D

Thanks for commenting, Elvis.  Glad you like it.

Ha Ha Ha , Probably not . They always land in a cornfield in Kansas . It's the farmers wife apple pie I guess . This buddy of mine , Believes in Big Foot , I laughed at him . but he was serious . Only in a small town . He said it's here to spy on us, and report back to the mother ship . Well ok Jessie , if you say so . I almost died laughing , He's real man . it's all on Tv on the show I watched . I bet it is . Who William Shatner ?

Thanks for commenting!  My intent was to create a perspective that was detached socially and emotionally from what is going on here on Earth today, and is observing things instead of being engaged.  Happy to hear you enjoyed it.
