I'll bet I went through a dozen or more versions of this and I'm still not happy with it. But this is my entry to this challenge.
I think it's simple, don't think I've got any outstanding lines, and no profound statements.
When Kay-lynn posted this challenge I told her it wat hitting close to home, I hadn't lost a child, but I lost my only grandchild, a little girl to a heart defect. Told her I wasn't going to say that I wouldn't try this challenge, but I wasn't sure I would either.
This is to be a uplifting song but I think what I've got is a bit more comforting.

Love Knows The Way Home
[Verse]
I thought the road was measured
By the miles beneath my feet
But now I know it's measured by
The hearts we're blessed to meet
[Verse]
Every memory is a lantern
Every smile a guiding star
And the ones who shape our hearts
Stay with us wherever we are
[Chorus]
Love knows the way home
Even through the darkest nights
And when stars are out of sight
Love knows the way home
So when the world feels uncertain
And the answers seem far away
Love knows the way home
[Post Chorus]
And shows us the way
[Bridge]
No distance can diminish
What forever has begun
Love keeps shining brightly
Long after the day is done
[Final Chorus]
Love knows the way home
Through every winding road
And it lightens every load
Love knows the way home
So I'll keep on believing
In the promise love has shown
Love knows the way home
[Outro]
And we're never alone
No, we're never alone
