Challenge #4 (hard one)

If you could write a song that would comfort a parent who lost a child, what do you think the title would be? Could you write a song about the "feeling" without saying someone lost a child (?)

It's a tough assignment because it would have to be uplifting, not depressing.

Hard assignment for me too.  This is a full song challenge.  So I'm going to make the deadline July 4th so we all remember and have plenty of time to think it through.

Find a co-writer on the forum, team up if you want. That would be awesome!

Damn Kay-lynn, not saying I won't give it a try, but it's hitting close to home.
We didn't lose a child but we did lose our only grandbaby, my wife visit's her grave at least once a week, I only go there maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I still remember all then feelings. :'(

I'm so sorry buddy!! Didn't mean to bring anything up, my grandson is 5 and I have no idea how I would get through anything happening to him.  So this topic is something you would know more about than I, but in my morbid brain I think about it because I love him so much and see him every day of his life.

I'll bet I went through a dozen or more versions of this and I'm still not happy with it. But this is my entry to this challenge.
I think it's simple, don't think I've got any outstanding lines, and no profound statements.

When Kay-lynn posted this challenge I told her it wat hitting close to home, I hadn't lost a child, but I lost my only grandchild, a little girl to a heart defect. Told her I wasn't going to say that I wouldn't try this challenge, but I wasn't sure I would either.

This is to be a uplifting song but I think what I've got is a bit more comforting.

Tex, First off...I'm very sorry for the pain that you and your entire family had to endure at the loss of the grandchild.

Regarding the song...

Thanks Guys....

Still wish I had something profound to say in it, but I'm alright with the lyrics and if I could get Suno to do what I want I'd feel a little better...

I'd like the intro to be 12 to 14 seconds long in stead of 26 seconds and the brake be about half of what Suno made it.

That is a tough challenge very difficult.

Good write Tex. Is the truth there. Simple and all, and in the end, the only way back from the brink, I think.

I haven’t listened to the music yet. Will go look for it now.
