Wrote this 20 years ago for an NGO...had a little play in the States back in 2018/19... The Singer is Audra Raulyns

V1
Do you hear the call
From those without a voice
What will you choose to do
For those that have no choice

V2
Do you hear the call
Today, nothing was done
For those who did not see
The setting of the sun
Do you hear the call

C
It’s a call for justice
Mercy
Kindness in our hearts for all
As you walk humbly with your god
Do you hear the call

V3
Do you hear the call
From a baby who cannot cry
Unlike the one you hold
As you sing your lullaby

V4
Do you hear the call
From every woman, child and man
Whose only hope will be
That you might understand
Why they call

Bridge
Tomorrow is too late
For those who cannot wait a day
The answer is right there
If we will choose to care

C
That there be justice
Mercy
Kindness in our hearts for all
As you walk humbly with your god
Do you hear the call
Do you hear the call
Do you hear the call
Can you hear the call
What Will it take for you
To hear the call
Hear the call
Hear the call
What Will it take for you
To hear the call
Hear their call

I realize people write these types of songs, I probably have one (but it was about a specific news story)..........I guess it's a little preachy but I guess it's supposed to be.

Carry on.
When you row someone else across the river, you get there yourself

Musically this is really well structured. Great vocals - lead and harmonies. The instrumentation is full but very clear. The production too is spot on. If I'm honest this isn't really my genre but I totally get the sentiments here. Preachy - yes - again not really my thing but it comes over extremely well, so thumbs up from me. :)

Very cool musical journey Steven...love the hook and how you played with it...bridge wakes us up towards the call.....then a key change at the end???(I think)...

I hear an interfaith song here as well....

Glad to see you here.

Thanks, Chris for your comments ....much appreciated....some may say it's preachy...I just wanted to write about reality and the truth

Hey John

Thanks for the listen and comment...appreciated...I wrote this for an NGO ( The Micah Challenge)...had never heard of them but got a call out of the blue If i would write a song for their cause, and voila....even though it was a Christian org, I wanted to have it hopefully reach more people...ergo "your god" and not"God" so yes you're right about interfaith...they seemed OK with it...nice catching that on your part...and yes there is a modulation at the end
