I normally put the first chorus after 2 verses but I'd just finished reading a songwriting book which advised getting to the chorus as quickly as possible, so I tried it. Interested in comments on that one. The interludes in Suno are a legacy from another Ai engine that had a habit of running into the next section without a break. The interludes in this case acted as the "brake" if you'll excuse the pun!

There are a lot of good things I’m hearing here. Your chorus is extremely powerful - you’re delivering a strong message using simple words and short lines, which makes it both memorable and catchy. All in all, you’ve crafted a beautiful song.

In every song, there’s always room for improvement. Here are a few ideas you might want to explore:

• Verse structure: Verse 1 is written differently from verses 2 and 3. The syllable count varies quite a bit, and if you listen closely, you’ll notice that Suno created a different melody for verse 1. I actually prefer the flow and feel of verse 1, so you might consider tightening the wording in verses 2 and 3 to better match it.

• Intro length: Radio-friendly songs tend to have shorter intros. If you’re working with the Suno stems, you could shorten the intro in your DAW - for example, by cutting the section from 0:11 to 0:21. That would bring your first chorus in about 10 seconds earlier, which could improve the pacing.

• Pre-chorus idea: Instead of going straight into the chorus, you might try adding a two-line or 4-line pre-chorus. You could reuse it later as well, which adds some melodic variation.

• Outro: The outro is well written with strong rhymes, but I’m a big fan of ending on the hook line to make the song more “sticky.” The current lines could work nicely as part of a verse or even a pre-chorus.

• Interlude: The longer instrumental section after the second chorus might not be necessary. In modern pop songs, that kind of break often comes after the bridge (before the final chorus) instead.

In the spirit of openness and clarity and more for Roberts awareness, best I clarify a few things upfront.
All I do is write the lyrics, my knowledge of music is zero. I use Ai purely as a delivery mechanism to listen to the words. This all just a hobby to me and I have no desire whatsoever to seek to monetize any aspect of my work ever. That said, I am keen to improve what I do, and fully open to others learning from my works and what others have to say about them. So while comments such as "radio ready" may have little relevance to me, they will for others and I encourage you to continue with those very important details.
Apart from using various Ai engines, I don't know anything about other digital tools such as DAWs or stems etc. At my age (73), I have no intention of going down that road so my production skills, (if any) start and stop with Suno.
Robert, I can't thank you enough for the invaluable constructive feedback you have taken the time to give to this offering. I can assure you I will be poring over every comment made with a view to implementing your suggestions and I encourage others to do the same.
