Add your next verse to keep the challenge going?

Well........... we might as well.  Does everyone agree?
When you row someone else across the river, you get there yourself

Oh, it looks like this challenge turned into a competition 😅
Maybe I should’ve given my first verse and chorus a little more thought.
I’ve never really liked writing songs in pieces—I’d rather get the whole thing down and then go back and polish it.
Anyway, here’s “Still On My Phone.”
I asked Suno to get Taylor Swift to write the music and record it, lol. I kind of like this one.

STILL ON MY PHONE
"Still On My Phone" is a Pop Rock Pop track by Rob B (GER). Add this high-quality song to your creative workflow. Available now on SoundClick.

[Intro]
Still on my phone… you’re not gone

[Verse]
I found it on an old phone in a kitchen drawer
Dust on the screen, hadn’t charged it in years before
Said “one unheard message” from a Friday night
Back when I was too busy chasin’ neon lights
Hit play and your voice filled up the room
Like you never left, like it wasn’t too soon

[Pre-chorus]
You said “Hey, just call me when you get the time…”
Man, I’d give anything just to rewind

[Chorus]
Still on my phone… you’re not gone
Every word’s a light I keep
Yeah, I lost you in my sleep
But I found you in that beep
Still on my phone… you’re not gone

[Verse]
You say you’re fine but It was buried deep where I never look
Just another number that I never took
Dated back to that night I went out instead
While your name lit up and I let it dead
Now I hear every word I missed back then
Like a door you knocked on, I won’t hear again

[Pre-chorus]
You said “Hey, just call me when you get the time…”
Man, I’d give anything just to rewind

[Chorus]
Still on my phone… you’re not gone
Every word’s a light I keep
Yeah, I lost you in my sleep
But I found you in that beep
Still on my phone… you’re not gone

[Bridge]
If I’d known that night was the last hello
I would’ve let the whole world go
But you’re frozen there in a moment I missed
Sayin’ everything I still replay like this

[Final chorus]
Still on my phone… you’re not gone
Every word’s a light I keep
Yeah, I lost you in my sleep
Now I found you in that beep
Still on my phone… you’re not gone

[Outro]
“Hey, just call me when you get the time…”
Yeah… I’d give anything just to rewind

Your Last Goodbye

I saw your name light up my phone
Couldn't remember the last time you called
Figured I'd call you back someday
Like I've said before, just not today

Got caught up in a different life
Someone else's arms and different nights
Never thought time could slip away so fast
Didn't know that call would be your last

Now your voice lives on forever in my phone
A ghost in my pocket, never leaving me alone

I missed your last goodbye
Let it ring while you were slipping away
Now I play it on repeat and cry
Hearing you fade, hearing you sigh
You said "I don't have long left now."
God, I wish I'd have listened then, somehow
But silence was my only reply
To your last goodbye

Heard the news from a friend the next day
Said you didn't make it through the pain
Said you asked about me near the end
Called my name like we were back then

I sat there starin' at that screen
At that little red dot I hadn't seen
Hands were shackin' when I pressed replay
I heard every word I didn't say

Every word you said cut me deep
With a life time of regret I'll keep

I missed your Last goodbye
Let it ring while you were slipping away
Now I play it on repeat and cry
Hearing you breaking as you try
You said "Call me back if you get this soon..."
Wish I'd have listened that afternoon
I wasn't there by your side
For your last goodbye

Now I talk to a voice that can't respond
To a love that's already gone
The cruelest part I can't deny
You still sound alive

I missed your last goodbye
Let it ring, let you fade away
Now your voice is where I hide
From the guilt lying deep inside
You said "I love you" soft and slow
Words I never got to know
Till it was to late to try
After your last goodbye

Every night I press replay
Just to hear you slip away
