The morning air rising off the street

Harmonies drifting through the heat
I scream in the hot sand
burning my feet hey pass me a cold drink

Shuffle down the crowded streets of this beach town
A long stare  at the ocean’s horizon
Stop at the hot dog stand
Some fries to go   and hold the sand

One more thing to make the day’s complete
Now that the sun won’t last much longer
There’s a bar called the beachcomber          
up on the cliff
Let’s  wash the salt water off of our lips
