I'm very interested to pitch this on The Song Tuner but I feel like verse 2 might be a little too subtle...I've tweaked it as follows (just don't have a recording yet), prob is that adds a little more time and i was trying to stay under 4 min...that might push it slightly over, so would love to hear which you all prefer and/or any other suggestions/comments...thank you!!:

So the hook is "bring her home tonight"....the story I envisioned was of a guy that lost his wife because he got distracted with his own problems and lost sight of what she really needs emotionally...though he provided her with physical protection and safety...so he recalls the first day he picked her up and the call to that protection by her dad who sings the first chorus...the second verse time jumps a bit and fast fwds their marriage and split....it talks about losing her, and the rest is about winning her back now that he's realized the truth...thanks for listening!! And pretty much confirming the song isn't as clear as it needs to be...
