Good Morning from the Blue Ridge Mountains
« on: »
Hi all. I'm John. The Friar part was the result of becoming an Ordained Dude and being free to select my own honorific.
I am 70yo and have been writing secret songs for about 50 years. I would rather they had not been such a closely guarded secret but I never learned to play an instrument or had the money to have someone else make demos for me. Well, being a lazy, procrastinating drunk didn't help much either.
I only heard about Suno a few months ago and it has been mindblowing trip so far. The first time that I heard a recording of a song I've been carrying around for 30-50 years was pretty freaking emotional. I used to write songs; now I'm a songwriter.
Most of my old songs are Country music of some sort because 50 years ago Satan or somebody invented Disco and drove me away from Rock and towards Waylon and Willie.
I appreciate Suno but I want more, so I am also a beginner guitarist.
I'm looking forward to listening and, hopefully, being listened to. I write the lyrics and the melody for all of my songs. Looking forward to sharing them with you and hopefully being able to give proper feedback on your songs.

John

Oh, yeah. I stopped being a drunk years ago.

TL;DR: Howdy.
